K inventory: born from a data-centre relocation,
built for asset traceability.

The idea for K inventory was born during a data-centre relocation. Faced with the impossibility of properly tracking IT equipment, the company built its own solution. After several years of research and development, the K inventory software suite has expanded to cover every physical asset a business owns — from IT hardware to furniture, tools, PPE, medical equipment or construction gear. It is now deployed at major accounts including CDC Informatique and Saint-Gobain, across industries as varied as manufacturing, construction, healthcare and public authorities.

    The origins

    The idea takes root inside K-Technology & Services

    Faced with the impossibility of properly tracking IT equipment during a data-centre relocation, the team builds its own solution. First press coverage of the initiative: Le Parisien, March 2022.

    Founding

    The K inventory subsidiary is created

    K inventory becomes an independent subsidiary of K-Technology & Services. The platform leaves its incubation phase and is deployed at the first clients, mainly in IT and large-account sectors.

    Recognition

    SaaS and first public recognition

    K inventory adopts a 100% SaaS model. The same year, K inventory is voted "Most Innovative Startup" at the CRiP Universités, before a jury of CIOs and IT executives.
